Moment -Sweet and Precious
Moments -- they are those tiniest incidents of life which comes in all flavors like sweet, bitter, spicy, tangy etc to give long lasting effect in our beautiful life.
This is my twenty fifth post. In other words it's a silver jubilee post. For this post while I was hunting for special moment, I never had any idea that the moment will shower on me as blessing of our goddess Durga Maa. This post is dedicated to amor maa --Durga Maa ππππ
This story started in our principal sir's cabin when he called all the house incharges to allot Indian states for upcoming inter house folk dance competition to celebrate national integration day. Being incharge of raman house I had to break the news to my house teachers that we received West bengal state.
We all were a bit worried about the competition Bengali dances are undoubtedly melodious and graceful. But we can't forget that the competition was against vibrant and energetic dances like lavni, jogwa, sambalpuri, garba and kalbeliya from rest of the houses.
But we accepted it as challenge. My fellow house teachers were very cooperative. Together we did lot of research and saw series of bengali folk songs and finally selected a song.It was the durga pooja song .We also found the props required for the dance. We sat together and made the props with the help of our talented art teacher's.

We kept our dance formation based with lot of variation and gave easy steps to the kids so that they can enjoy every bit.
With lot of practice and effort by our Raman house group finally we all were set for the performance. The only unsuccessful moment we faced in the entire process was during dhunuchi aarti which was done by three students in the end of the dance. Although the students did their job very well but it was sort of technical failure. Aarti consist of an earthen vessel filled with burning coconut shells and it releases lot of smoke.
We all tried a lot to produce the smoke in safe way so that it should not harm the student.
In the process of making dhunuchi my hands were burnt by red hot shell. In the end the smoke was also produced. But unfortunately it wasn't visible on stage during the dance.
Anyways, inspite of that failure and due to the intense hard work , the entire stage received a fuming performance,my dancers received appreciation,my house received prize and I was blessed with a silver jubilee moment for this blog.
Jai Durge Maa!!!!!!!
