EVENTS

Events – something which happens , something  which is happening or something which is going to happen. These events  reveals a lot about people’s attitude towards life  whether they want to spend them as celebration or  as wrath. Today  I am here to talk about the  three events-- one brought by the nature as natural calamity and other two the result of this  natural calamity.
The story started on 4th December 2017. I was returning to home from work when untimely showers   hit Mumbai city. I was fully drenched and started sneezing.

Within  me somewhere  I received a  message  from my immune system-“girl you are gone now. Take rest and allow us to fight this battle.”
 “why”, I asked.
“ girl can’t you see this untimely event, it has given rise to another event within you.”my immunity replied.  “
which event?,” I asked.
“ wait for few seconds till the symptoms appear”, that was the reply of my  immunity.
And than suddenly I sneezed hard.
Immunity said ,” see I told you.Now apply for a leave.”
 ”yeah”, I replied.

I wanted to obey them but that was a crucial week. So  taking leave was not at all a good idea. I took some medicines and  took rest in that evening. Next morning I came to know that the  untimely showers  triggered  the city because of a cyclone Ockhi in Arabean sea. A  holiday was declared on precautionary ground the very next day. I was happy as I got one full day for  rest. But that cyclone was very harmful. It didn’t cause much damage to the city but affected my internal system very badly. One day rest was not sufficient. I needed  some more rest so I waited eagerly for the weekened.
But as I said the cyclone  didn’t  cause much damage to  the city but affected our routine. A circular came in which it was mentioned that the weekened off was cancelled. It made everbody little upset. I felt as if I was paying the price of not obeying my own system. I needed rest very badly. I was not ready to suffer. I needed solution. The search of solution took me to the closet where  the solution giver was  sitting  and  adjusting the red framed glasses which was enclosing his expressive eyes.
But as I said the cyclone didn’t caused much damage to the city but affected each one of us personally. The solution giver adjusted his glasses and told me to wait for ten days. Now, what is the point of waiting  for tenth day. I needed the solution right now. His one signature itself was a solution which could have given me leave for next ten days. But he preferred to give his final verdict on tenth day. Anyways I had full faith in his descion so I obeyed him.
And than the  much talked about  weekened arrived  and was going smoothly like a  unwanted guest. In last lecture when finally we all were happy than a sudden arrival of a circular spoiled everything. According to the circular  we had to  stay for extra two hours.this means that the effect of cyclone was not yet over. We still  had to wait for two extra hours.  It was very tough time as there was no work to do. Our kind computer mam and librarian invited us to their respective rooms where we  discovered lot of lovely books and  videos . The canteen fellow showed  his amazing skills in cooking and made our day. Those two hours revealed  the hidden talent of lot of  people among our staff.  In this way the unwanted day was converted into a memorable day.
As I said the cyclone didn’t  cause much damage to the city much but yes, it  proved one thing. -- we  can stay happy even in our tough times.
