Achievement

Achievement------ a purpose  behind the efforts.achievement is unforgettable reward.today I'm talking about the achievement of grade one students.

It was the last period of the day. The proxy book came with  my name mentioned for grade one class. God!!!that was the only free period of the day which now converted to proxy due to absentee of a staff member and that to be Proxy in grade one.
My energy level went completely down with the thought of how to deal with those whom I never taught who wrre completely new faces for me. When I entered in the class the already  energetic students jumped with excitement as they saw a new face. They curiously asked my name. I entertained this question and told them my name. I don't know whether I did right or wrong but within next few minutes because of that reply I came to knw all those mother sister relatives and neighbours who  owed my name.in order to maintain silence I showed them chocolate and told them this will be reward for the one who keeps quite. In turn these tiny toddlers gave me knowledge that chocolates are harmful and they don't want. I gave up on this reply and requested them to keep quite and put their respective head down and have some mercy on me. But mercy is an alien concept for them. One girl with two ponytails came to me and said, "tomorrow is my birthday.I have two frocks red and pink. Which one should I wear. I reluctantly said  pink and avoided further questions but that was my mistake. Within fraction of seconds  whole class started screaming  about their birthdays. Now that was enough. It was height of my patient level. I stood up like a soldier and challenged the class. The one who keeps quite will achieve a reward from me. They curiously asked, "what reward? ".I said that he or she will be the monitor. Their eyes twinkled by thought of monitorship. They all went to their places. All their fingers went on their lips. Their interest in taking charge of monitorship was so intense that there was pin drop silence.I chose one student ,made him monitor and gave him the responsibility of chosing the next well behaved one as next  monitor.
Monitors did their job well. After every three minutes monitorship was changed. By the end of the period whole class achieved that valuable tag of monitor. As for me I achieved peace of mind in that three minutes monitorship. They were happy with short term achievement.and I was happy as I realised the value of achievement.
My poetry karm ki abhilasha is based on achievement which is attained by different people. The title of my poem is "karm ki abhilasha "

Karm ki abhilasha



Main ek karm hoon
Manvata ka dharm hoon
Mujhe swikaar karo hy sant
Aur karo papiyon ka ant
Main tumhara kartvya param hoon


Main ek karm hoon
Lave si garam hoon
Mujhe swikaar karo veer sipahi
Rok do dushman ki tabahi
Swabhimaan ki seema charam hoon

Main ek  karm hoon
Gili maati si naram hoon
Mujhe swikaar karo he kisaan
Upja do faslon ki khaan
Mehnat se seenchi chaman hoon

Main ek karm hoon
Agyanta se gabharai sharm hoon
Mujhe swikaar karo hy shikshak
Tumhi ho mere rakshak
Tumhare haathon se rachi sukaram hoon
