Languages ----- 'tool or weapon'

Languages -used for communication and sometimes for manipulation. Today I am focusing on the languages used by the students in the answer sheet of mid term exams. They were permitted to write answers in their own words. But they used this opportunity to write answers in their own language which made the concept confusing  and more complicated than sheena bhora murder case mystery. I felt as if I was not evaluating but judging the sheets of the students as a courtroom judge. Before coming to any conclusion I referred many books to give justice to poor content.

A class contains three categories  of students. Based  on the number of students in each type, the duration of paper correction is estimated. The paper is also patterned according to these  categories.

The first category is below average students for whom forty percent paper is patterned. These are very honest students. They attempt  very few questions. So their paper correction is done within an hour

Second category is the genius category. Most of these are gifted. They write very clear and precise language. It's difficult to find any fault in their paper. Their correction is also done  within an hour.

The third category is the average category. They are the one who consume maximum time in exam room, use maximum supplement sheets to write everything except the main content. Their confusing language makes everything confusing. These are the ones who used language as weapons  and mess with theories. Correcting these papers needs lot of time energy and patience.it took me one full week to complete correction.
Finally papers are done and open house too went well. I understood the hidden meaning behind those answersheets.
Blank paper were asking why the paper was so difficult. Fully attempted papers were asking why it was so easy. And rest of the papers were like taking revenge by writing a standard answer for any sort of question as if they were complaining that this is only thing we learned and you didn't asked.

My poetry is inspired from the answersheets of my students. The title of my poem is Boli

                         Boli

Kabhi karkash toh kabhi mishree ki goli
Har vaani ki pehchaan uski apni boli

Sui si ghaav seeti bhi boli
Talwaar si ghaav deti bhi boli

Raja ka aadesh toh sant ka updesh
Kursi  dekh rang badalti hai boli

Gyaani bole toh lage booti samaan
Moorakh  bole toh hansi thitholi hai boli

Sandhi aur  yudh sab ispe nirbhar
Ki isthiti ke anusaar kaisi ho boli
