The other side of table

"That's it, this is your final year as a student life, be prepared to face the life from the other side of table."this statement was given to us infinite times by our professors during training course at bombay teacher's training college.
Just imaging a classroom is  not just a room of knowledge. It is a place where people from two different phases of life come together. People who are born in different two different era interact.the interaction is  constructive funny and at same time memorable because this interaction is between an innocence  and immaturity disguised in the form of students and  an experienced person called teacher who patiently  solve these young innocent queries from the other side of table.how different the life becomes at the other side of the table.i realised this when I started my life as a  chemistry teacher in k c college. As a student I always used to wonder--
why teacher smiles at times at our wrong results?
why she admires certain student who according to us was good for nothing ?
why she was so strict all the time but in the end tried her level best to clear us in our exams?
how she knew our strength and drawbacks better than our parents?
today being a teacher myself I got all the answers.
It was because ofour innocence which  used to take her in down into her memory lanes and gave her chance to meet her childhood once again.
my poetry is   dedicated to all the teachers who with their experience  and little strictness shaped the future of students from the other side of the table.
Aankhein di eshwar ne humko
Aur saara sansaar dikhaye
Gyan ki jyoti bhari aapne
Kya hai sansaar dikhaye
Jivha di eeshwar ne humko
Kya kehte kuch samajh na paay
guru vachan jab bol samaye
tab swar main kuch lai si laye
do kar diye eeshwar ne humko
kya karna hai Nahi pata tha
haath thaamne aap aaye
in hathon ko karm sikhaye
do pug diye eeshwar ne humko
bina raah ke pug bhatkaye
raah dikha kar mujh pathik ko
Hume manzil tak pahunchaye
manav jeevan saakar na tha
jeene ka adhaar na tha
uddhaar kiye ho dwij banakar
is jeevan ko akaar dilaye
thankyou teachers for making  me.
